The Sanskrit “Indragni” (इन्द्राग्नि) refers to a composite deity of Indra and Agni together in one form. Indra is known as the king of the Demigods who periodically wage war against the demons to maintain the balance of the cosmos and Agni is the personification of fire, considered the medium through which offerings are carried to the Gods. “Indragni” can also be taken to mean the most eminent form of fire, the fire of ritual sacrifice as described in the ancient Vedas.

Vishakha nakshatra is connected with themes of fruitfulness and the achievement of goals which require diligence and effort to be put forth consistently over a long period of time. Vishakha is often considered a star of purpose. Vishakha natives can exhibit a high degree of patience, persistence and perseverance in the accomplishment of a task. This asterism is symbolized by a triumphant archway or finish line.
