Mantra for Bharani Nakshatra

According to classical texts on Vedic astrology, the deity ruling Bharani nakshatra is Yama, the God of the underworld. The Sanskrit “Yama” (यम) can be translated to mean “binder”, and refers to the Vedic deity of death, the underworld and Dharma (correct behavior). Bharani nakshatra is connected with themes related to death, reincarnation, sacrifice, discipline and justice. Bharani is often considered the star of restraint. This asterism is symbolized by a female reproductive organ.
