Simple Kartikeya Mantra for Protection in Chaotic Times

The name Sharavanabhava (शरवणभव) comes from “Sharavana”, a thicket of reeds, and “bhava”, meaning “born”. Kartikeya, the son of Shiva and Parvati, was miraculously born in a thicket of reeds and nurtured by the six Krittikas (Pleiades). Because of this, He is called Sharavanabhava — “the one born in a thicket of reeds”.

This name carries Kartikeya’s divine origin as the child of cosmic fire, born to protect the world and lead the celestial armies. Chanting this mantra connects us to His birth energy, the spark of divine protection that emerges even in the darkest and most chaotic times.

In the video below, we document the sound of this simple nama mantra of Kartikeya:

oṁ śaravaṇabhavāya namaḥ

|| ॐ शरवणभवाय नमः ||

Listen to the sound and feel it working to transform your life or chant along with the video to meditate with this ancient mantra.
